We're seeking a compassionate and resourceful Care Assistant to join our team on the beautiful Central Coast. As a Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in empowering older people to live independently and improve their quality of life.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others. As a Care Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide domestic assistance to clients in their own homes. You'll be required to travel to various locations, using your own car, and provide light housekeeping services. Your day-to-day tasks may also include meal preparation, transportation for wellbeing, and assisting with social support groups and outings.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in this field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • The capacity to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and client needs.
  • A valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle that's comprehensively insured.
  • A First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Salary and Benefits

As a Care Assistant with Uniting Home Care, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately $70,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. In addition to a great salary, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
