About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and resourceful Care Companion to join our team at Uniting Home Care. As a Care Companion, you will provide care and companionship for older people living in their own homes, helping to empower their independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide light housekeeping at various locations
- Assist with meal preparation
- Provide transport for wellbeing, driving to appointments and accompanying clients on shopping trips
- Assist with social support groups and outings
Requirements
- Previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care
- Empathetic and resourceful, with the ability to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold
- Flexible and prepared to help meet the changing needs and schedules of our home care clients
- Provisional or full Australian driving licence and ongoing access to a reliable vehicle that's comprehensively insured
- First Aid Certificate
