We are seeking an experienced and skilled Emergency Department Nurse Specialist to join our team at Collarcare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Emergency Department care and be proficient in using electronic medical record systems.
About The Role:This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality patient care, handling a variety of urgent and critical cases.
- Utilizing electronic medical records to accurately document patient information and manage medical records.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care and streamlined operations.
- Performing assessments, administering treatments, and managing patient care in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accurate documentation and patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.
- ALS, BLS, Resuscitation, and Triage certificates.
- Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK).
- Manual and patient handling.
- Infection control.
- Aggressive behavior management.
- Mandatory reporting by Registered Nurses and/or Midwives for reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect.
- Medications management, including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations.
- AHPRA Registration (must be current).
- National Police Check.
- Australian Immunisation History.
