About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering mine planning, design and scheduling tasks for underground operations at Northparkes. The ideal candidate will have experience in short- to medium-term mine planning and design, proficiency in Deswik.IS and Sched, and strong skills in communication and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering designs for underground mine development using Deswik.CAD
  • Communicating plans and schedules across key stakeholders
  • Managing underground mining schedules using Deswik.Sched and Deswik.IS
  • Storing and maintaining mine design files and plans (hardcopy, softcopy, CAD)
  • Mentoring and training engineers and graduates
  • Assisting with short-range forecast scheduling and Plan of Intent designs
  • Maintaining health, safety and security standards across the workplace
  • Demonstrating behaviours aligned with our company values

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Recognized tertiary degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or Geological/Geotechnical Engineering
  • Manual driver's licence
  • Underground hard rock mining experience
  • Strong skills in short- to medium-term mine planning and design
  • Proficiency in Deswik.IS and Sched
