About the Role

Cox Purtell is seeking a highly motivated and organized Membership & Professional Services Officer to join their Advocacy, Media and Professional Services team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate database records, and supporting the broader membership and engagement strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide proactive and prompt support to members, resolving inquiries and issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Database Management: Maintain the CRM database, ensuring information is up-to-date and aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Administrative Support: Provide secretarial support to the Associations' Federal Council, Executive, Standing Committees, and Management, including drafting briefing papers and minutes.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Lead and manage the logistics functions associated with Committee meetings, including venue selection and catering arrangements.
  • Reporting and Insights: Provide accurate and timely reporting and insights to support organizational decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving membership and data processes and systems, and implement changes to enhance organizational capability.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a corporate administrative position, preferably in a membership or association role.
  • Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly in Excel, and working knowledge of CRMs. IT-savvy skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve minor database issues.
  • Personal Qualities: Proactive approach, strong time management, and high attention to detail. Excellent telephone manner and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a range of audiences.
