About the Role

Centrecare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Case Worker to join our Family and Accommodation Service team. As a Case Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to achieve long-term stable accommodation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and provide counseling to children and their families to improve their overall personal and social development, and their health and wellbeing.
  • Deliver therapeutic and skill development services to children and their families, including assessments, counseling, outreach, capacity building, information, and referral opportunities.
  • Provide access to recreational opportunities for children and their families where possible and appropriate.
  • Establish relevant networks and links with the community and other service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
Selection Criteria
  • Recognised tertiary level qualifications in Social Work, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or related disciplines.
  • Relevant experience in the areas of outreach, homelessness, individual/family support and/or case management.
  • Relevant experience working within the justice environment and/or supporting people exiting prison.
  • Possession of a current 'C' (previously 'A') class driver's licence and vehicle.
  • National Police Clearance and Working with Children Card.
