About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Housing Case Worker to join our team at Centrecare. As a key member of our Family and Accommodation Service, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness to achieve stable and secure housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide counseling to clients to improve their overall well-being and social development.
  • Deliver therapeutic and skill development services to clients, including assessments, counseling, outreach, capacity building, information, and referral opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community networks and service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Provide access to recreational opportunities for clients and their families where possible and appropriate.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in outreach, homelessness, individual/family support, and/or case management.
  • Experience working within the justice environment and/or supporting people exiting prison.
  • Possession of a current 'C' class driver's licence and vehicle.
  • National Police Certificate.
  • Working with Children Card (or ability to obtain one).
