Job Description:
As a GCP Engineer at NCS, you will work hands-on designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure as code and applications built on Google Cloud. Your responsibilities include designing, deploying, and supporting various Google Cloud Platform solutions and services such as Cloud Run, Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Cloud VMware Engine, and Compute Engine.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, deploy, and support Google Cloud Platform solutions and services (e.g., Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud VMware Engine, Compute Engine)
2. Deliver secure foundations/landing zones and perform cloud migrations
3. Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform with a GitOps approach
4. Apply DevOps principles and enable platform delivery and application/developer enablement
5. Engage with a range of applications and architectures, understanding APIs, development practices, networking, and security
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project delivery and continuous improvement opportunities

Requirements:
Experience as a Cloud Engineer developing, implementing or managing secure Google Cloud solutions at an enterprise level
Hands-on Google Cloud experience
Experience with Terraform at an advanced level for infrastructure as code
Ability to script in Python or Bash
Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and deployment of platform solutions
Experience with core GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, etc.
Strong networking knowledge (VPCs, subnets, load balancing, firewalls, DNS) and secure, scalable network design on Google Cloud
Security-focused with understanding of cloud security principles, threats, and mitigation
Willingness and ability to hold a government security clearance
