Job Title: Leader of Pastoral Care

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to join our team as the Leader of Pastoral Care at Newman Senior Technical College.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of pastoral care programs that promote the well-being and academic success of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of pastoral care programs that align with the College's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide support and guidance to students.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and the wider community to promote the College's mission and values.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the College's three-year School Improvement Plan.
  • Participate in ongoing performance reviews and professional development opportunities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Full accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA).
  • Compliance with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment.
  • Experience and willingness to authentically lead Catholic Mission.
  • Capacity and skills to lead others to enable success for all students.
  • Ability to lead learning and change for improved student outcomes.
  • Provide evidence of qualifications in a specialised faculty.
  • Be able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to lead and develop teamwork and individuals within a team.
