About the Role

Philips is seeking a Senior WHS Professional to join its APAC Zone Health and Safety team based in North Ryde. This exciting opportunity will see you play a pivotal role in improving Philips' H&S performance and reducing operational risks across Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific islands.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and ensure commercial activities comply with H&S laws and regulations in Australia and New Zealand, extending to Pacific islands.
  • Maintain and update applicable H&S licenses and permits, including radiation licenses for workers and devices.
  • Deploy and comply with Philips Corporate Safety Standards and APAC EHS Procedures.
  • Provide technical support to commercial projects, including merger and acquisition projects, and manage contractor safety.
  • Advise and partner with the PRE and facility management team on deploying H&S procedures, such as office safety inspections, risk assessments/SWMS, accident/incident reporting.
  • Conduct or organize H&S training and audits (internal & external).
  • Implement ISO 45001 certifications for ANZ under the multi-site certification framework.
  • Coordinate and execute the H&S internal, external, and corporate audit program.
  • Manage closure of corrective actions and report compliance status to the H&S Committee and APAC H&S Leader.
  • Lead, participate in, or facilitate multidisciplinary workgroups on issues like emergency response, travel safety, BCM, etc.
What We're Looking For
  • A passionate professional with 4-7 years' experience in a similar position in an international business environment and a tertiary qualification in WHS Management.
  • Experience with implementing the ISO 45001 management system or as a certified internal auditor.
  • A trusted professional with experience of ANZ Work Health & Safety Legislation codes and standards, able to interpret and apply them in real-world situations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with the ability to relate to and influence people at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, well-organized.
  • Comfortable with regular travel required to be effective in this role across ANZ.
About Philips

We are a health technology company committed to building and supporting an inclusive workforce that reflects the diverse communities we operate within. Our estimated salary range for this role is AUD $110,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience.
