Australian Security Vetting Officer Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill this key role in our organization. This position will play a vital part in supporting our Defense Industry Security Program (DISP) obligations and helping us move from DISP Level 2 to Level 3 for Personnel Security (PERSEC) and Governance.

This role will also support and manage security clearance processes across the business, ensuring compliance with all DISP and AGSVA requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of AGSVA processes and government security frameworks such as PSPF, DSPF, and Australian Privacy Principles.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and maintain security vetting governance, policies, and processes.
  • Support the DISP uplift program from Level 2 to Level 3.
  • Ensure compliance with DISP and AGSVA requirements.
  • Manage security registers, compliance reporting, and assurance activities.
  • Provide security vetting advice to projects and functional teams.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition to manage staff security clearances.
  • Support wider security reporting, training, and culture activities.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Knowledge:
  • AGSVA processes and requirements.
  • Government security frameworks such as PSPF, DSPF, and Australian Privacy Principles.
  • Skill Set:
  • Ability to work independently and manage both simple and complex tasks.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
