We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Services Professional to join our team in supporting young people who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the life of a young person, providing support and care in various settings. Your tasks will include building relationships with clients, administering medication, transporting them to appointments, and assisting in the implementation of programs designed for their development.
Daily Tasks
- Building relationships with clients.
- Providing around-the-clock care to participants following a structured routine developed specifically for their needs.
- Administering medication.
- Transporting clients to and from school, day programs, and appointments.
- Assisting in the implementation of programs designed for client development.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following essential criteria:
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current NDIS Worker Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011).
- National Police Check.
- A current driver's licence.
- A vehicle that can transport upwards of 4 people.
- Comprehensive Car Insurance.
- Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Ability to work a 7-day shift work roster.
- Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical checks.
- Two professional references.
Desirable Qualifications
- Diploma of Community Services.
- Bachelor of Human Services.
- Diploma level (or higher) qualification in a relevant field of study.
