Job Title: Conference and Events Pastry Chef de Partie

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for crafting exquisite pastries and desserts for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and prepare all baked goods, pastries, and desserts in accordance with established recipes.
  • Maintain high levels of communication between Sous-Chefs and Chef de Parties at all times.
  • Operate in accordance with HACCP standards at all times.
  • Ensure the highest quality of products and ingredients.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • Several years of experience working in a high-volume 5-star luxury hotel conference and events environment.
  • Advanced patisserie skills, including chocolate tempering.
  • 5-star luxury hotel VIP club experience is essential for this role.
  • A team player with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Passion for food and quality products and ingredients.
  • Adept in using commercial-grade kitchen equipment.
  • Must have full Australian working rights.
