**Sustainable Forestry Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team as a Silviculture Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forestry management and protection, including knowledge of weed and pest control, fire management, planning, and silviculture.

They will be responsible for finalising site-based plans and overseeing field operations to ensure activities align with our Forest Management Systems and Biosecurity Plans.

This role requires excellent supervisory and contractor management skills, as well as the ability to plan and prioritise work, and meet standards and deadlines.

The successful applicant will have sound experience and knowledge of plantation establishment operations at grass roots and/or management level, and possess basic forest inventory skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finalise site-based plans and oversee field operations
  • Maintain compliance with Forest Management Systems and Biosecurity Plans
  • Manage contractors and supervise staff
  • Plan and prioritise work to meet standards and deadlines

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of forestry management and protection
  • Sound experience and knowledge of plantation establishment operations
  • Well-developed supervisory and contractor management skills
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Basic forest inventory skills
