Key Responsibilities
  • The Culturally Sensitive Community Liaison will play a vital part in enhancing educational outcomes and well-being for Aboriginal children and young students by facilitating communication and providing support to schools and agencies.
  • Support project delivery and client care, maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant protocols, attend important meetings and training sessions, uphold core values and principles.
  • Culturally sensitive case management, safety planning, and community connection will be provided to Aboriginal kids and families within the child protection system.
  • Working closely with Aboriginal children and families, government agencies, and sector partners is crucial in reducing the overrepresentation of Aboriginal children in care.

Effective collaboration and coordination are essential in achieving positive outcomes for Aboriginal children and families. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of others.
