Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Intensive Care Liaison Nurse (ICULN) to provide expert clinical support and improve outcomes for acutely unwell patients across hospital wards.

As a Registered Nurse with a postgraduate qualification in critical care, you will bring advanced decision-making abilities and demonstrate clinical competence in expanded practice. This senior role involves working closely with patients recently discharged from ICU and supporting the broader ward teams with specialised interventions and education.

As a vital member of the Medical Emergency / Respond Blue team, you will lead by example, act as a role model for staff, and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence.

Our Region:

  • Wangaratta has a population of approximately 30,000 and our catchment serves a community of around 100 000 throughout the northeast.
  • An easy 2 ½ hours drive on the Hume freeway from Melbourne and less than an hour to Albury airport with direct flights to most of the large Australian cities.

The successful applicant will benefit from:
