Education Officer Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with inmates in a correctional centre, supporting their education and training outcomes.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and facilitate education programs for inmates
- Work closely with trainers, stakeholders and inmates to ensure smooth delivery of educational services
- Assist with the assessment of inmate education needs and manage education schedules
- Oversee the maintenance of learning management systems, including Moodle and inmate databases
- Facilitate communication between inmates and external institutions, including enrolments and exam invigilation
- Ensure documentation and compliance standards are met for all education activities
- Certification in Education or Administration (desired) with the ability to undertake if required
- Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Case Management) or completed within the first 12 months of employment
- Experience in providing education or administrative support in a team environment
- Experience in performing a range of education functions, including statistical data compilation
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining computerised information and recording systems
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
