The role involves providing primary care to inmates based on a patient-centred model, allowing patients to participate in their health management actively. You will work closely with correctional staff to deliver holistic and integrated patient-centred health services that promote rehabilitation and reintegration, ensure safety and security, and foster a high standard of practice.

  • Provide primary care to inmates under the direction and supervision of a senior healthcare professional.">
  • Work collaboratively with correctional staff to deliver comprehensive and coordinated healthcare services.">
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with inmates, families and carers to ensure optimal health outcomes.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 2) or Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), with the relevant professional body.">
  • Minimum of 1-year full-time post-graduate experience (or part-time equivalent).">
  • Experience in primary health, rural health, or emergency nursing an advantage.">
