Child and Youth Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Child and Youth Worker to join our team at the Department for Child Protection. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to children and young people, including guiding and assisting with personal care needs
- Plan and attend activities to promote life skills and development
- Offer trauma-informed care and support children and young people to manage challenging behaviors
- Assess individual needs and develop personalized plans to support their growth and development
- Ensure safety and supervision are maintained at all times
What You Will Need:
- Relevant experience working with children and young people, or transferable skills from a related field
- South Australian Driver's Licence P2 or above
- South Australian Working with Children Check
- First Aid certificate - HLTAID012 - Provide Emergency First Aid in an Education Setting
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including AM, PM, nights, weekends, and public holidays
