Job Opportunity: Governance Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to manage our governance team within our Strategic Services Centre. This fixed-term role will support the effective operation of our governance framework, provide expert advice to senior leaders, and facilitate corporate decision-making processes.

The successful candidate will possess a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field with extensive experience or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation. They will also demonstrate personal attributes aligned with our values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage.

  • Providing expert advice and support to senior leaders on governance matters;
  • Delivering high-quality secretariat support to Council and its related committees;
  • Leading and managing University governance compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Governance Advice and Support

Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders on governance matters, ensuring alignment with University policies and procedures.

2. Secretariat Support

Deliver high-quality secretariat support to Council and its related committees, ensuring timely and effective communication.

3. Governance Compliance

Lead and manage University governance compliance processes, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
