About the Role

The NDIS Support Worker plays a vital role in delivering agreed services for individuals with psychosocial disabilities who have NDIS plans.

  • Provide person-centred supports to individuals, promoting their choice and control over their lives.
  • Deliver centre-based/group activities and individual supports to meet goals.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to facilitate effective operation.
Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Certificate IV in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the NDIS and NSW mental health system and local services, or ability to learn.
  • Driver's Licence required.
  • Able to use recovery-based approach to assisting people with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Demonstrated values consistent with person-centred ways of working and supporting personal choice and control.
  • Able to exercise personal responsibility and work as a team, with support and guidance from a NDIS Project Manager.
  • Awareness of needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, hard-to-reach communities, and LGBTQIA individuals.
