Independent NDIS Support Coordination Specialist

We are seeking a qualified and experienced NDIS Support Coordinator to fill a key position within our support coordination services.
The successful candidate will work closely with participants to explore their options and choices in regards to mainstream, community, advocacy, informal and NDIS provider options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Explore all available options with participants to determine the best course of action.
- Support participants to establish their MyID account, navigate the NDIS Portal, negotiate services to be provided and facilitate service agreements between participants and providers of their choice.
- Negotiate services and prices for quotable supports as decided by the participant.
- Arrange any necessary assessments to determine the nature and type of funding required.
Requirements:
- Hold a diploma or higher tertiary qualifications in disability/community services/social sciences/allied health or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- Have extensive knowledge of the NDIS Code of Conduct and NDIS Practice Standards and Act 2013 and rules.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the complex needs of people with disability and their families/nominees/authorised representatives.
