Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse and/or Midwife to lead our maternity services, paediatric elective surgery, and general surgery departments with a strong focus on women's health.

This is a permanent part-time position offering 4 days per week, providing opportunities for work-life balance.

The successful candidate will provide both operational and clinical leadership to ensure exceptional patient care and safe service delivery, while driving efficiency and fostering a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Leadership: Promote excellence in patient-centred care, oversee clinical risk management and participate in accreditation processes.
  • Administrative Management: Oversee financial, human, and equipment resources within the department and maintain workforce profiles.
  • Strategic & Team Development: Lead with integrity, promote a collaborative work culture, and contribute to service planning to maintain care standards.
Requirements:
  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife (essential)
  • Tertiary qualification in Midwifery
  • Demonstrated experience across all midwifery domains
  • Previous leadership and management experience
  • Strong interpersonal, team leadership, and change management skills
  • Permanent residency or Australian citizenship
