Senior Transmission Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced commissioning professional to lead our transmission commissioning efforts in Western Australia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in secondary systems and protection & control, with experience in substation configurations, NEI regulations, and HV isolation procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering end-to-end commissioning of HV substations (132kV–330kV) across both greenfield and brownfield sites.
- Deliver complex testing across secondary systems, including protection schemes, relay testing and configuration, SCADA, automation, and control systems.
- Interface with outage planning, switching schedules, and system requests.
- Represent the business in front of utility clients and network operators.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and technicians.
The role requires a leadership style that is hands-on, structured, and team-focused, with the ability to drive technical outcomes and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the commissioning strategy for a major contractor in WA and lead delivery on a $1B+ project pipeline.
