JPS Medical Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic consultant with at least 2 years post-fellowship experience to join our team as a Staff Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in developing and improving services through education and safety and quality work.
About the Facility:
The facility is a modern, 137-bed hospital providing acute services, including operating theatres, general surgery, day procedure unit, 24-hour emergency department, intensive and coronary care, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, midwifery, orthopaedic surgery, pathology, medical imaging, renal dialysis, cardiac rehabilitation, pharmacy, internal medicine, oncology services, endocrinology, specialist outpatients, population health and onsite breast screening.
The facility also has a second site, an 88-bed hospital providing sub-acute inpatient services to the region. It provides internal medicine; perioperative; accident and emergency, general surgery, a mental health unit, gynaecology, orthopaedic surgery, urology; pathology, medical imaging and pharmacy.
About the Region:
The region has a local population of around 80,000 and receives up to 1,000,000 tourists per year. The hospital services a varied demographic, providing a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to make a meaningful impact.
Requirements:
- Completion of the FCICM or equivalent specialist training
- Full specialist training in the UK, USA, Canada or Ireland
- Assessment of specialist training by the CICM and found to be comparable
