We are seeking a talented professional to lead our Games Unit and manage our core Games funds and associated programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the assessment of funding applications, managing funded projects, and engaging with game makers, interactive content creators, and industry professionals to ensure successful project delivery.

This position may see the successful candidate representing Screen Australia at various festivals, conferences, and panels around Australia and internationally.

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is based in either our Melbourne or Sydney offices.

It is offered as a full-time, two-year contract.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as Game Design, Development, or relevant work experience.
  • Extensive experience and a proven track record in interactive and game development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Australian and international games sectors.
  • Strong ability to assess concepts, prototypes, and proposals.
  • Capacity to make impactful decisions based on sound judgment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in public speaking and representation.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
