Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management professional to join our team as a Market Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing Risk and Liquidity Reports for Market Risk Management, working closely with Global Markets Treasury to understand daily activity and its impact on market risk and liquidity exposures.

This is a key role within our organization, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare daily Market Risk Reports, including position limits and profit/loss reports.
  • Develop and maintain LCR Reports, ensuring timely submission to regulatory bodies.
  • Create ALCO and RMC reporting packs on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Produce Head Office Reports on a monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual basis.
  • Drive process improvements by automating manual processes using programming techniques.
  • Conduct Market/Liquidity risk analysis and provide insightful commentary for ALCO reporting purposes.
  • Provide timely consultation and response to senior management regarding MLRM matters.
  • Participate in project work as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with prudential standards APS210 - Liquidity, APS117 – Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book & APS116 – Traded Market Risk.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in Risk Management or another Middle Office environment.
  • Prior exposure to Market Risk sensitivity and P&L report.
  • Familiarity with Treasury financial products and their uses.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access, to solve numerical problems, perform analysis, and reconciliation.
  • Intermediate VBA macro programming with the ability to troubleshoot macro-related issues.
  • Experience producing reports through data gathering, result calculation, and validation against expectations.
  • Self-motivated, able to work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
