Lead Solution Delivery Architect

Job Overview

The Lead Solution Delivery Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the technical architecture for software implementation services bids and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical teams in the implementation and delivery of projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the Services function to interact with customers and define, produce and maintain optimal solution design based on scope, customer requirements and solution capabilities.
  • Facilitate requirements and design workshops; own the design deliverables (Statement of Work, Architecture documents).
  • Drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement in the domain (best practices and reference material such as reference architectures and reference solutions).
  • Collaborate with sales and presales to conduct needs assessments, develop technical proposals, and support creating Statements of Work (SoW).
  • Build technical expertise and deliver technical consultancy on demand; develop standard policies, procedures, and templates.

Required Skills:

  • At least 5 years of deep technical design-focused expertise and hands-on experience with development and architecture in industrial solutions and electification software in utilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on computer science and electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with design principles, coding, scripting, OS (Linux), source code management, virtualization, cloud architecture (AWS and/or Azure), and microservices.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and cloud-native technologies such as containers and Kubernetes; strong understanding of cloud architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural structures, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, including multi-site deployments.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; demonstrated ability to lead large projects and architect complex solutions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with C-Level executives and key stakeholders.
  • Proactive and customer-facing attitude with a focus on understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Exposure to iterative product development and program management techniques including Agile, SAFe, Scrum, and DevOps.
