Quality and Risk/Infection Control Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join our team as a Quality and Risk/Infection Control Coordinator. This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across all aspects of patient care.

  • This position requires a highly skilled and knowledgeable individual who can provide expert guidance and support to clinical teams in relation to infection control practices and procedures.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing effective quality and risk management strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
  2. Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective action plans;
  3. Providing education and training to staff on relevant topics including infection control, quality assurance and accreditation standards;
  4. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote a culture of safety and quality within the organisation;
  5. Maintaining accurate records and reporting on quality and risk metrics to inform decision-making.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  1. Current registration with AHPRA;
  2. At least 5 years post graduate experience and/or qualifications in either Infection Control and/or Quality Management;
  3. Experience in the Acute setting;
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  5. A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care;
  6. High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various databases;
  7. Ability to work cohesively within a team environment;
  8. Proven time management and prioritisation skills.
