This position is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight
The internal job title for this role is Fulfillment Operations Manager
This role requires availability to work Monday through Sunday

As our store operates 7 days a week, you must be available to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts (6:00am to 8:00pm).

You should also be available to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).
As part of the recruitment process, this role requires a National Police Check for final candidates.

About this work area

The Fulfillment Operations department ensures excellence in end-to-end operations, including inbound logistics, in-house replenishment, picking, and service execution.


As a Fulfillment Operations Manager, your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:
Implementing enhancements, new processes, technologies, and methodologies to improve the customer and co-worker experience.

Promoting close collaboration and effective communication with the Fulfillment Integration team and key stakeholders such as Unit management, support functions, and External Transport/Service Providers to optimize goods availability and customer order fulfillment efficiency.

Ensuring adherence to IKEA's code of conduct, Standard Operating Procedures, internal regulations, and local legislation related to health, safety, and security within the Fulfillment Operations team.

Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing Fulfillment Operations team, fostering communication, flexibility, and inclusivity.
Emphasizing the importance of nurturing co-worker well-being and managing performance, competence development, and succession planning.

Demonstrating a commitment to cost-effectiveness, efficiently managing resources and operational expenses to maximize efficiency and drive profitability in fulfillment operations.


As a Fulfillment Operations Manager, you possess:
A solid understanding of Customer Fulfillment performance monitoring and influencing factors.
Proficiency in operational methods that ensure excellence in Fulfillment Operations, collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
Previous experience showcasing strong leadership skills and the initiative to coach diverse teams.
An extensive understanding of end-to-end supply chains alongside supply chain methods, policies, and requirements.
A thorough understanding of all relevant standard operating procedures for Customer Fulfillment, prioritizing the safety of co-workers and customers.
Competence in resource planning aligned with potential sales scenarios, forecasts, and fulfillment flow allocation.

A passion for leading with integrity and authenticity, championing IKEA's values and encouraging your team to embody these principles in their daily work.

The ability to coordinate, liaise, and communicate with stakeholders effectively while driving the end-to-end functions within fulfillment operations.
