Software and Hardware Support Specialist

BD is seeking a specialist to provide technical support for software and hardware related to BD ROWA, Alaris Infusion Systems, and Pyxis equipment. The role involves remote support and diagnostics, field repairs, preventative maintenance, performance testing, and electrical safety testing of electro-medical equipment. Travel is essential within this role, requiring flexibility and willingness to travel interstate as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose system errors promptly and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure software levels of equipment are current and up-to-date.
  • Meet product repair turnaround goals by performing routine and breakdown maintenance as required.
  • Provide technical sales support during the implementation process, including workflow and system reviews.
  • Plan, schedule, and communicate Preventative Maintenance visits and breakdown visits to fit in with customers' requirements.
  • Escalate and manage cases between Service Desk and customer for assigned sites as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair experience.
  • Excellent technical knowledge, interpersonal skills, time management, and ability to direct and support as appropriate.
  • Able to identify potential issues or complaints and escalate as necessary.
  • Possess strong customer communication skills and management of customer expectations.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work effectively alone and without direct supervision.
  • Minimum education requirements: Electronics/Computing Trades Certificate or Engineering certificate; understanding of computers and assigned software.
