Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and making decisions, fronting customer engagement for a team of technicians. They will advise and ensure timelines are met, champion daily customer service planning and set client expectations.

They will consult with clients on the scope of work, evaluating and setting plans for services. This includes overseeing daily service planning and execution, ensuring fair distribution of work to service technicians.

The Production Operations Manager will manage the complete operations of allocated sites, workshops and machines. They will ensure KPIs are met in terms of utilisation, efficiency, overheads and costs.

They will ensure execution of quality and timelines, book and consult future maintenance plans. The Production Operations Manager will liaise with teams regarding long-term maintenance forecasting and bookings.

They will report and safeguard customer satisfaction, quality of work, timely service and costs. The Production Operations Manager will update customers on work progress, schedules, resources and materials requirements.

The Production Operations Manager will know their customers' installed base and service opportunities. They will ensure customer machines are back in operation within specific times as per agreed KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Ideal experience in mechanical, electrical engineering or related fields, or exposure to heavy-machinery maintenance environments.
  • Proven customer communication skills, empathetic, structured and service-minded. Customer-oriented relationship building, display leadership as a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to deal with all stakeholders in the business. ERP system savvy, SAP highly regarded.
