About This OpportunityThis is an exciting chance to develop your skills and knowledge in child mental health nursing. As a Grade 2 Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), you will be part of a multidisciplinary team setting, collaborating with young people, related services, and their families to provide holistic care.
You will work closely with the Associate Nurse Manager and Nurse Manager to achieve clinical outcomes, ensuring that each patient receives exceptional recovery-oriented nursing practice and service delivery.
The RPN supports, supervises, mentors, and coaches Enrolled Nurses in delivering support and care to patients and families during crisis and transition periods, considering their physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural needs.

The Oasis unit is a purpose-built facility located within the Monash Children's Hospital, providing specialist assessment and care planning for children aged up to 12 years with neurodevelopmental disorders or complex psychiatric symptoms.
All children admitted to the unit are accompanied by parent/carer, who remain throughout the admission.
Oasis is a multi-disciplinary unit offering consultation services, brief emergency admissions, and planned assessment admissions, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrated and effective service tailored to individual needs.
In ReturnWe offer a connected team with strong shared values, committed to providing mental health services and support to children, young people, and their families experiencing emotional, behavioural, or mental health problems.
