Clinical Nurse Consultant Role Summary

This is a senior leadership position within our health service, responsible for driving clinical excellence and operational performance within the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing advanced clinical expertise and leadership focused on Emergency Department models of care and operational processes.
  • Analyzing ED performance, activity, and quality metrics to support continuous service improvement and meet Key Performance Indicators.
  • Overseeing the Data Optimisation team to ensure accuracy in ED data reporting, diagnosis coding, and Activity Based Funding (ABF) optimisation using tools like ieMR (FirstNet).
About You:
  • You will possess comprehensive knowledge of Emergency Department clinical models, operational workflows, and performance measurement.
  • Proficiency with ieMR (FirstNet), relevant databases, and reporting tools for data extraction, analysis, and funding optimisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive data quality improvements aligned with clinical and financial objectives.
