We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Support Worker to join our Ipswich Hub team. As a passionate advocate for individuals with mental illness and disabilities, you'll play a vital role in enabling their independence and promoting positive wellbeing.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and provide exceptional support to clients with complex needs. You'll work collaboratively with our team to optimise client support, implement planned activities, and champion client achievements.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage your experience and expertise in Mental Health and Disability services to deliver tailored support to clients
- Help clients reach their goals by working closely with them to create and achieve personal support plans
- Implement planned activities that promote client independence, such as light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Schedule and assist with medical appointments, ensuring seamless care coordination
- Report client requirements and reinforce positive behaviour, fostering a supportive environment
- Ability to work with clients on days, nights, and weekend shifts, providing flexible support when needed

What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Prior experience as a Support Worker with complex clients and restrictive practices
- An open Driver's Licence
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and Blue Card
- NDIS Workers Orientation Certificate or willingness to obtain it
