Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Socio-Economic Specialist to join our team in Burnaby, BC. As a key member of our socio-economic unit, you will play a critical role in preparing socio-economic related materials, including baseline reports, impact assessments, and other deliverables.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Prepares socio-economic related materials, including baseline reports, impact assessments, and other similar types of deliverables;
• Writes technical reports;
• Analyses and interprets data;
• Contributes to proposal writing;
• Participates in community engagement sessions with Indigenous Nations and stakeholder groups.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in social sciences, natural resource management, geography, environmental assessment, or a related field of study. Alternatively, suitable professional and technical experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
You will also require at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in socio-economic impact, community health, or related fields. A solid understanding of environmental assessment legislation, regulations, and guidelines in a Canadian context is essential.
Additionally, you should have knowledge of and experience in the application of analytical methods used to support socio-economic assessments, such as economic input-output modeling, health impact assessment, and gender-based analysis plus (GBA+).
What We Offer
We offer a competitive remuneration package, which includes a salary range of $65,000 - $85,000, depending on your qualifications and experience.

This role is based in Burnaby, BC, and requires occasional travel to project sites across Canada.
