Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Disability Support Specialist to join our team in delivering personalized support to customers with disabilities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with customers, their families, and our staff to provide tailored support that promotes independence and enhances quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver domestic supports within customer residences, ensuring safety and well-being.
- SUPPORT PERSON-CENTRED PLANS by identifying and working towards customer life goals.
- Maintain positive behaviour support plans and administer medication as required.
- Perform administration duties, expense reports, and mandatory documentation.
- Experience supporting customers with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
- Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration.
- Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in complex or difficult situations.
- Cert III in Disability, Individual Support, or higher.
- Fully insured and registered private vehicle (aligned with Activ's motor vehicle allowance rebate).
