We are seeking a highly skilled researcher in metallomics to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform cutting-edge research in metallomics and chemical biology.
Responsibilities- Conduct advanced research in metallomics and chemical biology, developing innovative solutions for biological studies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to publish research papers in top-tier scientific journals.
- Support grant writing and publishing original work, contributing to the growth of the field.
- Teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, fostering their academic and professional development.
- Hold a PhD (or near completion) in organic chemistry, chemical biology, protein engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Have experience in synthesis, purification, and characterization of organic molecules, as well as use of research methodologies relevant to metallomics.
- Be proficient in preparation and deployment of fluorescent proteins, with experience in biological studies being highly regarded.
- Proven ability to conduct research/scholarly activities under limited supervision independently or as a member of a team.
- Experience in student supervision at undergraduate and graduate level.
- Proficient in use of NMR, IR, MS, and UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy.
- Publish research as sole author or in collaboration.
- Experience in research record keeping, preparation of research papers, and presentation of seminars.
Ongoing employment conditional upon satisfactory maintenance of clearances and background check requirements.
