Mental Health Nursing Transition Program

Alfred Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Grade 2 to join our team in a transition program to mental health nursing. This is a unique opportunity for nurses to develop their skills and knowledge in mental health care.
Key Responsibilities- Work in a supportive multi-disciplinary team environment
- Develop skills in risk assessment, mental state assessment, care planning, and knowledge of mental health nursing care and practice
- Collaborate with consumers, carers, family members, and other professionals
- Participate in regular professional development opportunities, including frequent training and education
Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services that focus on people with severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.
Our goal is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts, and strives to minimize service system barriers to the recovery process.
What You'll Need- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA as a Division 1 Registered Nurse
- Australian working rights (Visa holders, please upload your visa and passport with your application)
- Full Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination
- Willingness to undergo a Background Check
- Portable long service leave from other public health services
