The Central Allocations Unit at Ballarat Health Services has opportunities for Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to contribute to our team. The Mental Health casual bank offers the chance to work across various settings, including Adult Acute Unit, Parent and Infant Unit, PARC, SECU, and Steel Haughton Unit.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop discipline-specific skills in a recovery-focused environment, where a client-centered and family-focused approach is emphasized. You will have the chance to work in your area of interest and enhance your skills in mental health.
To maintain your position with the Central Allocations Unit, a commitment of 2 shifts per fortnight is required. The casual bank is managed by the Central Allocations Unit, which operates 7 days a week. Grampians Health uses an electronic rostering system that matches staff for shifts based on their availabilities via text and phone call.
Key Responsibilities- Caring for a diverse range of patients and residents in various care settings
- Providing high-quality, direct care within the scope of practice
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive, patient-focused outcomes
- Completing mental state exams and risk assessments for consumers
- Administering medication in adherence to governance requirements
- Undertaking tasks under the direction of NUM/ANUM/RPN on shift
- Documenting and updating care plans/patient records
- Providing accurate and timely communication with residents, visitors, and staff at all levels within Grampians Health
- Maintaining accurate availability in our electronic rostering system and accepting shifts based on availability
- Prior experience/placement in a Mental Health setting
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills
- Ability to function within a team
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain if working in Care Community
- Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
