Medical Receptionist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic medical receptionist to join our team in the day-to-day coordination and supervision of our operational function.

This role will be responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, managing appointment books and referrals, collecting payments, and performing general reception duties with patient chart management, filing, and support for our busy specialists.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcome patients and visitors
  • Manage appointment books and referrals
  • Collect payments and perform general reception duties
  • Perform patient chart management, filing, and support

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed communication skills, be flexible, and excel in a multi-disciplined team environment.

A high level of computer skills within the Microsoft suite is required, as well as previous experience in a medical administrative/reception position. Previous experience in a hospital environment is desirable, and a Certificate in Medical Terminology is desirable but not essential.

This role requires a caring, compassionate, and empathetic nature to provide supportive care to patients and their carers visiting a busy oncology unit.
