Logistics Operations Manager

This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive safety, operational performance, and team development while ensuring seamless collaboration across cross-functional departments.

About the Role:

  • Safety Leadership: Lead safety as a core value across the site, including the yard and operations. Champion compliance with relevant standards and regulations.\
  • Operational Excellence: Achieve cost, KPI, and service metrics. Optimise service levels, productivity, and cost reductions through effective planning and organisation.\
  • Team Management: Lead a small, agile team with a focus on coaching, development, and performance. Foster a positive, learning-oriented culture that encourages innovation and improvement.\
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver best-possible outcomes.\
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive robust continuous improvement initiatives.\
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Manage reporting, capital projects, and infrastructure upgrades effectively.\

    • Key Requirements:\
      • \
      • A minimum of 5 years working in a Supply Chain, Warehouse and Distribution environment, running a distribution centre in a leadership role.\
      • Proven ability to manage both inbound and outbound logistics, reporting, compliance, and project management of improvement initiatives.\
      • Experience with WMS systems (SAP/ERP highly regarded), inventory control, and load planning.\
      • Knowledge of lean management principles, COR regulations, and load restraint standards.\
      • Strong leadership and people management skills, experienced in coaching and mentoring others to develop and get the best out of the team.\
      • Highly effective planning and organisation skills, with strong time management, and coordination skills. Results-focused with an analytical mindset.\
      • Strong communication skills, able to make quick decisions, and build stakeholder and customer relationships.\
      • Able to work autonomously as part of a team with a collaborative style, is positive, resilient, innovative, and challenges the status quo.\
      • Must have a driver's licence and forklift licence to meet the requirements of the role.\
