Are you a motivated and adaptable pharmacist looking to advance your career in hospital pharmacy? Slade Pharmacy, part of the Icon Group, is seeking a dynamic Rotational Pharmacist to join our team in the Maitland/Hunter region, NSW.

About the Role

This permanent full-time position offers the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in clinical and oncology pharmacy services. As a Rotational Pharmacist, you will work across multiple sites, covering various periods of planned pharmacist leave while developing new skills and knowledge across our range of specialties.

The role involves conducting medication chart reviews, dispensing medication, coordinating patient medication requirements, and developing professional relationships with stakeholders. You will also support patients, carers, and hospital staff, as well as educate and advise on health promotion, disease prevention, and proper use of medicines.

Slade Pharmacy delivers pharmacy management and best practice clinical service through a hospital and oncology pharmacy governance framework. We are dedicated to patient care and have longstanding partnerships with large private hospital groups.

About You

We are looking for an experienced or newly registered pharmacist who possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritize workload. Community pharmacists and those new to hospital pharmacy are encouraged to apply, with structured training provided for successful candidates.

Requirements
  • A current AHPRA registered pharmacist or a Pharmacy intern awaiting general registration from AHPRA.
  • Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy.
  • A current drivers licence and roadworthy NSW-registered vehicle, as the role requires travel to various sites within our NSW pharmacy network.
  • Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
  • Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously.
