SAP EAM Project Lead\Helpers of this role coordinate project resources, define project scope, track progress, manage risks, and work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the successful deployment of SAP EAM solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Prepare a plan for discovery sessions based on EAM business processes involved.
    • Conduct Explore sessions/workshops with client stakeholders to understand current process, current SAP system landscape, and problem statement.
    • Analyze and prepare a list of business requirements, gaps for SAP EAM/PM.
    • Identify clear ownership of requirements and allocate action items to each cross-functional team.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the main point of contact for all SAP EAM/PM communications ensuring smooth and clear communication with stakeholders.
    • Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and facilitate decision-making at all levels.
    • Regularly report SAP EAM/PM project progress to stakeholders addressing risks and challenges.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination:
    • Lead and manage SAP EAM/PM teams which may include internal resources, external vendors, and consultants.
    • Ensure objects assigned to teams are delivered on time.
    • Communicate interdependencies across multiple teams within own area, drive convergence across these teams to ensure smooth functioning of the teams.
    • Reach out to team members in case anyone needs any assistance in understanding.
  • Risk and Issue Management:
    • Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Discuss unresolved issues with clients, understand stakeholder views, and address issues.
    • Develop risk mitigation strategies and proactively resolve any project issues that may arise.
    • Document and communicate project risks and issues to relevant stakeholders ensuring timely resolution.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure detailed functional specification documents for custom objects listing out detailed SAP EAM/PM processes.
    • Ensure functional testing and validation for all SAP EAM/PM objects are working as expected.
    • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure proper documentation of issues and resolutions.
  • Project Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive SAP EAM/PM documentation including project plans and status reports and issue logs.
    • Provide regular project status updates to senior management highlighting key accomplishments, risks, and upcoming milestones for EAM streams.
    • Ensure that projects are closed out effectively with all SAP EAM/PM documentation finalized, lessons learned, and post-implementation support in place.
