Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software defined networking team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of software services for networking scenarios.

You will be responsible for defining, driving execution and adoption of different features and capabilities in core azure networking stack that will have significant business impact. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to determine user requirements, identifying dependencies and developing design documents, creating and implementing code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, and proactively seeking new knowledge and adapting to new trends and technical solutions.

You will have the opportunity to work on unique and highly visible projects, drive project plans and release plans, and partner with stakeholders to drive consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for scenario.
  • Drive identification of dependencies and development of design documents for product, application, service, or platform.
  • Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment.
  • Leverage subject-matter expertise of product features and partners with stakeholders to drive project plans, release plans, and work items.
  • Act as Designated Responsible Individual and guide other engineers by developing and following playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering working experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
  • Reliable, high-quality software development.
