Senior Software Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Technology business unit, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-quality application solutions aligned with our technical strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality software applications that meet business requirements.
  • Analyze and implement changes based on business needs, including documentation and testing.
  • Investigate and resolve system incidents and problems, recommending preventative measures.
  • Lead code reviews and ensure consistent, high-quality development standards.
  • Manage branching, deployment, and release coordination activities.
  • Provide expert advice to technical and non-technical stakeholders across platforms.
  • Mentor and support team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience with COBOL and SQL, including relational database design and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in superannuation or similar financial services environments.
  • Knowledge of Appian and experience developing within cloud-based platforms.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for Agile delivery and documentation.
  • Proven ability to lead technical decisions and support peer development.
  • Expertise in code branching, version control, and deployment pipelines.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
