Project Director

Join Hudson Australia as a Project Director and lead the management of a large-scale reconstruction project in the New England Region. This is a unique opportunity to oversee the delivery of a critical infrastructure project, working closely with contractors and service providers to ensure timely and effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and lead a team of professionals to deliver the project safely and successfully.
- Develop and implement project delivery frameworks and processes to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with contractors and service providers to deliver the project in a collaborative and cooperative manner.
- Monitor project performance and track metrics to drive performance improvements.
- Provide technical and governance advice to stakeholders, actively addressing risks relating to safety, quality, environment, financial, reputation, and resourcing.
- Engage with the community, funding bodies, government organizations, internal and external customers to understand their expectations and request feedback on service delivery.
- Procure services and materials in accordance with Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government Regulation 2021 and Council's Procurement Framework.
- A working history in construction and a significant experience in program and/or project management with qualifications.
- A senior level of relevant professional experience in construction and operational leadership managing a Tier 1, 2 to achieve project outcomes.
- Working history and experience delivering reconstruction projects in a leadership position across technical infrastructure standards including roads, drainage, bridges, and other public assets.
- Direct the planning and organisation of schedule of works to optimise safe and timely delivery, and minimise disruption, delay, and inconvenience to customers and other affected public, road, and public transport users, adjacent businesses, stakeholders, and the community.
