About the Role

We are seeking an EHS and Rail Safety professional to support our team in a rail project.

This role involves providing EHS and Rail Safety expertise across various stages of the project, including construction, testing, and commissioning.

You will be responsible for promoting a safety-first culture and implementing best practices in management systems.

Additionally, you will monitor daily site tasks, advise on risks and controls, ensure compliance with company procedures and legislative requirements, and manage subcontractor compliance and WHS induction/training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide EHS and Rail Safety support across construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Promote a continuous improvement culture and implement best practice management systems.
  • Monitor daily site tasks and advise on risks and controls.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and legislative requirements for health and safety.
  • Manage subcontractor compliance and WHS induction/training.
  • Conduct audits, investigate incidents, and coordinate return-to-work activities.
  • Monitor Rollingstock Operations compliance under ONRSR Accreditation.
  • Conduct site inspections with stakeholders to ensure safe workplaces and system compliance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety.
  • ICAM training (preferred).
  • White Card and RISI Card (preferred).
  • Identified Rail Safety Worker status.
  • Experience working with complex stakeholders.
