Research Administration Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Administration Coordinator to join our team at The University of Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our world-class academic staff and contribute to the School's research activity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level support to the School's research activity, including research administration, grants management, and research partnership development.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all research administration matters in the School, facilitating high-quality research applications and promoting research opportunities.
- Support the School's research performance and reputation by compiling, analyzing, and reporting research data, and connecting the School with research professional services within the Faculty and the broader University.
- Develop and maintain relationships with researchers, research staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
- Provide advice and guidance to researchers on research-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinate and assist with the development of research grant applications, including preparing and submitting applications to external funding agencies.
- Identify and distribute information regarding research income opportunities, and plan, organize, and participate in School research seminars, research-related events, and research development activities.
- Completion of a degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience; OR extensive experience and management expertise; OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated and well-advanced experience in research administration or research management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to investigate problems, seek information, and interpret situations.
- Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated experience in preparing briefings and strategic reports with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated experience in developing strong external and internal relationships.
- Ability to work cooperatively and constructively as a team player with staff from a variety of settings within the University and external to the University.
- High level of computer proficiency and practical understanding of corporate administrative computer systems related to research administration, as well as computer software packages for word-processing, data storage and retrieval, and spreadsheets.
- Experience in sourcing, analyzing, and interpreting data relevant to research administration.
- Experience in the Higher Education Sector with a sound knowledge of administrative policies and procedures would be highly regarded.
