About the Role:

We are seeking a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Groundsperson to join our team at Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. This apprenticeship provides an opportunity to learn new skills under the mentorship of experienced Sports Turf Professionals.

About You:

">

To be successful in this role you will have a genuine desire for a career in Sports Turf Management, a passion for horticulture, and be in your 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of your Cert III in Sports Turf Management at TAFE. We are looking for someone who is motivated, eager to learn, and has a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on role that involves working on-site at Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. You will be responsible for maintaining the turf to a world class standard, ensuring that events run smoothly and safely. You will also be required to complete coursework and assessments as part of your apprenticeship.

Requirements:

">

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following requirements:

  1. Completion of NSW School Certificate or equivalent;
  2. Currently undertaking a four-year apprenticeship completing at Certificate III in Sports Turf Management at TAFE;
  3. NSW Drivers licence is preferred but not essential;
  4. Career development opportunities and progression;
  5. Access to the Sporting Club of Sydney facilities;
  6. Other benefits associated with working with major sport and entertainment venues;
